One-Year-Old Dies in Motorcycle Accident

(SALT LAKE CITY) -- On Sunday afternoon, a one-year-old boy died in a motorcycle crash, reports The Salt Lake Tribune.
The boy was on the motorcycle with his father, 48, at around 2:40 p.m. in the parking lot of the family’s apartment at 4521 S. Bridgeside Way. The father accelerated when he was turning near the apartment basketball courts but lost control. The son was sitting between the father and the gas tank. Both were flung from the bike, and neither wore a helmet.
The toddler died at the scene while the father was rushed to the hospital.
Although the father is expected to survive, investigators are preparing a case for prosecutors this week to charge the motorcyclist.
