Rescuers Helping Two Teens Stranded on Little Cottonwood Canyon Cliff
(SALT LAKE CITY) -- Salt Lake County Search and Rescue crews rescued one teenager who had become stranded on a cliff at Little Cottonwood Canyon overnight, and were working to rescue a second teen who remained stuck, The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
A police lieutenant said the two teenage boys, 16 and 17 years old, were hiking on Wednesday when they began to free-climb up a cliff face. They reportedly got stuck about 7 p.m.
Rescuers reached the boys from above during the night, but it was too dark to complete the rescue, so they began efforts again Thursday morning, the paper says.
