Suspect in Weekend High-Speed Chase Arrested

(SALT LAKE CITY) -- Police have arrested a man who they say was involved in a high-speed chase in Kearns last weekend, and managed to get away.

Investigators said on Saturday they tried to pull over a vehicle driven by Jesse Samora, when the suspect allegedly made an attempt to flee, attempting to run over an officer in the process. A chase then ensued, and officials said at some time an officer fired a shot, which hit the suspect vehicle.

After being able to elude capture on Saturday, Samora was arrested on Wednesday on a parole violation.
