Utah State Prison Inmate Stabbed by Cellmate

(SALT LAKE CITY) -- An inmate at the Utah State Prison was stabbed Tuesday by his cellmate, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

A spokesperson for the state Department of Corrections said that two men got into a fight in their cell at the Draper prison just before 5:30 p.m. The 27-year-old victim was reportedly stabbed multiple times and transported by ambulance to a hospital. He was expected to survive.

The spokesperson said no weapon was found, and the subject of the altercation is unknown, according to the Tribune.
