State Fails to Enforce Seismic Regulations for Schools

(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) -- State regulators have routinely failed to enforce a state earthquake safety law for public schools, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Reportedly, approximately six of every ten public schools have at least one uncertified project.

Since the Field Act law was enacted 80 years ago, it has been the responsibility of state officials to ensure seismic regulations are fulfilled by every school building.
