Fire Damages Oakland Hills Home

(OAKLAND, Calif.) -- An Oakland Hills home sustained serious damage on Thursday evening, after a fire broke out at the residence.

The blaze was reported shortly before 6 p.m. at the home located on Norfolk Road. Authorities believe the fire may have originated in the basement of the home, according to published reports.

No one was at home at the time of the fire, and there were no reports of injury.

The cause remains under investigation.
