Demonstrators Protesting Fatal Police Shooting Shut Down City Council Meeting

(OAKLAND, Calif.) -- Angry demonstrators protesting the fatal police shooting of an 18-year-old man in May shut down an Oakland City Council meeting Tuesday night, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The parents of slain Alan Blueford asked for a police report detailing the killing of their son to be released. Police say Blueford had pointed a gun at an officer in East Oakland on an early Sunday morning.
