Four People Rescued from Water Off Ocean Beach

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) -- A Golden Gate National Recreation Area spokesman says four people were rescued from the water off Ocean Beach Wednesday night, ABC affiliate KGO-TV reports.

The park spokesman said the people were reported in the water just after 5:30 pm. Wednesday. U.S. Park Police, the U.S. Coast Guard and the San Francisco Fire Department responded. A U.S. Coast Guard official said lifeguards had already rescued the people by the time the Coast Guard arrived.

The spokesman said the exact condition of those rescued was not known, but it appeared to be a successful rescue.
