Gov. Brown’s Budget Projection Could Be $1 Billion Off Target

(LOS ANGELES) -- Gov. Jerry Brown’s budget projection could be $1 billion off target, the Legislative Analyst's Office announced Friday.

The Los Angeles Times reports that California’s deficit may be $1 billion larger than Brown’s $15.7-billion estimate.

The difference in estimates was attributed to “considerable uncertainty” in the money from defunct local redevelopment agencies, according to the analyst’s report.
