Rat Poison Students Suspended from Middle School

SAN FRANCISCO -- The students who allegedly persuaded some peers to eat rat poison have been suspended.

Seven boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 12 found the rat poison at Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Middle School last Thursday. The rat poison was only a blood thinner and non-toxic, but several students ingested it. The children did not fall seriously ill.

The students have been suspended from attending school for an unstated amount of time.
