San Bruno Fire Kills 2-Year-Old and Leaves Woman in Critical Condition
(SAN FRANCISCO) -- A two-alarm fire at a house on Lake Drive in San Bruno killed a 2-year-old girl, reports our ABC affiliate KGO-TV.
The fire began around 8:45 a.m. and firefighters from northern Peninsula arrived on the scene. Although the fire was under control after 15 minutes, seven family members were in the home including the girl’s grandparents.
A 30-year-old woman is in critical condition, while a 69-year-old man has burns. The man tried to rescue the woman and child in the house. A ladder was used by neighbors to help rescue at least another person from the house.
The second floor hallway outside the bedrooms was where the fire started.
