(1) Alabama Defeats Mississippi St., 20-7

Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images(STARKVILLE, Miss.) -- Crimson Tide sophomore running back T.J. Yeldon rushed for 160 yards and senior quarterback A.J. McCarron tossed two touchdowns as (1) Alabama (10-0; 7-0 SEC) defeated Mississippi State (4-6; 1-5 SEC), 20-7 on Saturday night.

Alabama turned the ball over four times, including two interceptions by McCarron and a fumble by Yeldon. Yeldon’s turnover in the third quarter resulted in a touchdown for the Bulldogs, when senior offensive lineman Charles Siddoway recovered a fumble in the endzone by teammate, senior quarterback Tyler Russell. The score cut Alabama’s lead to 10-7.

The Crimson Tide would score on their next series when McCarron found senior wide receiver Kevin Norwoord for an 11-yard touchdown.

It’s the sixth time this season that Alabama’s defense has held an opponent to seven points or less.
