(CHAMPAIGN, IL) -- Carlos Hyde rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns as No. 3 Ohio State rolled past Illinois 60-35 for their 22nd-straight win.
Braxton Miller added three touchdowns for the Buckeyes, (10-0, 6-0 Big 10) who jumped out to a 28-0 lead and cruised to victory.
"That last run, In my head I was like, we could (have done) this the whole time," Hyde said. "That last run, I had energy and I just feel like we could have had that momentum the whole game."
Illinois (3-7, 0-6) closed to within 35-21 in the third quarter, but Ohio State forced a safety and never looked back The Illini have now lost 20 consecutive Big Ten games.
"An L is an L," Illinois head coach Tim Beckman said. "These kids fought, they know they fought. ... I'm proud of them for doing that, but they're just like everybody else is, they want a W."
Nathan Scheelhaase threw for 288 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Buckeye defense kept pressure on him all day long, sacking him five times.
