(9) Georgia Defeats North Texas, 45-21 Behind Aaron Murray

BanannaStock(ATHENS, Ga.) -- After an early-season stumble, the Georgia Bulldogs are back in business as they improved to 2-1 on the season after defeating North Texas 45-21 on Saturday.

Quarterback Aaron Murray led Georgia's impressive offensive display as he completed 22 of 30 passes for 408 yards. He also threw three touchdowns, and scored another on the ground.

Murray shook off an early interception to hit wide receiver Reggie Davis for a 98-yard touchdown, which was the longest in school history.

The Mean Green entered the game as a 33-point underdog, but they Georgia a fight all game.

Behind some big plays on offense and special teams, North Texas was able to tie the game at 21 in the third quarter, but Georgia was able to pull away after that.

Georgia lost their season-opener against Clemson back on August 31, but have overcome the loss to remain in the thick of the National title chase.

On the season, Murray has thrown seven touchdowns compared to just two interceptions and has rushed for two touchdowns as well.
