Alabama, Kansas State Lead Latest BCS Standings

Andy Lyons/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- In the latest edition of the BCS standings, the defending National Champions continue to have a strangle hold on the number one spot.

One night after putting on a tremendous comeback victory on the road against LSU, the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide remain at the top of the BCS Standings.  They rank first in both the USA Today and Harris Polls.

Kansas State came in again at the number two spot after defeating No. 24 Oklahoma State.

The biggest story of the week was the Oregon Ducks passing the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for third place in the standings.  No. 4 Notre Dame squeaked out a triple overtime victory over Pittsburgh, while No.3 Oregon trounced USC 62-51.

Georgia moves into the top five after a 37-10 blowout victory over Ole Miss.

Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Louisville, and Florida state round out the top 10.  Louisville is the only other BCS-eligible undefeated team.  They currently sit at 9-0 after a convincing victory over Temple.
