A's Starting Pitcher Brett Anderson Out For The Regular Season

Robert Binder/MLB Photos via Getty Images(DETROIT) -- Oakland Athletics starting pitching Brett Anderson will miss the remainder of the regular season because of a strain of his right oblique, the team announced on Thursday.

The 24-year-old Anderson suffered the injury during Wednesday night’s game against the Detroit Tigers.

In six starts this season, the lefthander is 4-2 with a 2.57 ERA. He has struck out 25 batters in 35 innings of work.
