Brandon Jacobs Back with the Giants

Al Bello/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The New York Giants signed running back Brandon Jacobs to a one-year deal Tuesday, according to ESPN.

After second-year running back David Wilson fumbled twice in the team's loss to the Cowboys Sunday, the Giants decided to look to build depth at the position. After several backs worked out for the team, the Giants decided to bring back Brandon Jacobs.

"Whatever they need me to do," Jacobs said in a statement. "Whatever role they want me to play, I'll come in and do it. I know the offense. I know they've made some tweaks here and there, and I'll do whatever I have to do....The Giants have given me a great opportunity. This is where I wanted to be. These are the coaches I want to play for and I wanted to come back with my teammates. This is the place I love most."

Jacobs played with the Giants for first seven years of his career. He was a part of two Super Bowl winning teams and rushed for 4,849 yards and 56 touchdowns.
