Broncos' Petersen Says Everyone Is Tired of the BCS
JupiterImages/Photos.com(NEW YORK) -- Boise State head coach Chris Petersen voiced his frustration on Monday after his Broncos finished in seventh in the BCS standings but were left out of a BCS game.
In an interview on KBOI-TV, Petersen said "everybody is just tired" of the system, which many want to see revised with a playoff-type system like they have in the NFL.
Petersen's team was left out of a BCS game for the fourth time in eight years, despite the team's record. The No. 7 Broncos (11-1) beat by No. 11 Virginia Tech (11-2) and No. 13 Michigan (10-2).
"Everybody's frustrated, nobody really knows what to do anymore," said Petersen. "It doesn't make sense to anybody. I don't think anyone is happy anywhere."
Boise State will take on Arizona State (6-6) in the MAACO Bowl in Las Vegas.
