Bulls Luol Deng Wants to Remain with the Bulls His Whole Career

Bruce Bennett/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Even though he has a chance to cash in this summer during free agency, Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng hopes to spend his entire career with the Bulls although he could be an unrestricted free agent after this season.

"I definitely want to stay here," Deng told "I would love to play here my whole career."

Since joining the team back in 2004 during a draft-night-trade with the Phoenix Suns, Deng has been one of the most vital members of the team not just offensively, but defensively as well.

Despite his optimism, Deng understands that just because he wants to remain with the team doesn't mean it'll happen.

"I've seen players in the past who wanted to stay with their team and it didn't work out," Deng added. "At the end of the day, I can't control that."

Deng is a two-time All Star. The 28-year-old has averaged 16 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
