Clippers Destroy Celtics for 15th Straight Victory

Christopher Trotman/Getty Image(LOS ANGELES) -- The Los Angeles Clippers became the first team to win 15 straight games since the Boston Celtics did it during the 2008-09 season, by destroying the Celtics 106-77 Thursday night.

Clippers forward Matt Barnes came off the bench and scored a game-high 21 points.  Guard Chris Paul had 11 assists in the win.

"The results happen if you prepare the right way, and you execute the right way, and you play together and play hard together as a team," Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said when speaking of the Clippers' recent success. "We're doing that, we just want to continually get better and more consistent for longer stretches."

The 106-77 win was the Clippers (23-6) largest ever over the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics (14-14) received 16 points and four rebounds from Kevin Garnett in the loss.

The Clippers will go for their 16th straight victory in Utah Friday, when they take on the Jazz.
