(SALT LAKE CITY) -- Blake Griffin scored 30 points to lead the Los Angeles Clippers past the Utah Jazz 105-104 on Monday night.
Randy Foye, who came over from the Clippers to the Jazz in the off season, missed a three-pointer at the buzzer after a steal that would have won the game for Utah (9-10).
"In the first half, it was almost a waste of time because no one showed up," Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said of his team. "Our defense was weak, we were soft and we had no toughness. ... But I was very pleased with the way we responded...and made plays down the stretch."
Griffin added 11 rebounds for the Clippers (11-6), who fought back from a 14-point third quarter deficit despite hitting only 4 of 21 three pointers.
Mo Williams, another ex-Clipper, led Utah with 20 points and 12 assists.
