Coach K Passes Knight on All-Time Wins List

Thomas Northcut/Digital Vision(NEW YORK) -- Duke men's basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski passed his mentor Bob Knight to become the all-time leader in men's Division I wins, as the sixth-ranked Blue Devils defeated unranked Michigan State 74-69 at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night.

Coach K, who played for Knight during his college career at Army, improved to 903-284 in his 37th season as a college coach.

The Blue Devils (3-0) were led by Andre Dawkins, who scored 14 of his 26 points in the first half. Keith Appling led all Spartans (0-2) with 22 points.
