Cubs Welcome Edwin Jackson To Chicago
G Fiume/Getty Images(CHICAGO) -- The Chicago Cubs introduced righthanded pitcher Edwin Jackson at a news conference on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Jackson inked a four-year deal with the Cubs worth $52 million. He will be tossing for his eighth team in his 11-year Major League career.
"We plan on having a lot of fun days and a lot of great seasons ahead of us," Jackson said.
The former All-Star went 10-11 with a 4.03 ERA in 31 starts for the Washington Nationals last season. He struck out 168 batters in 189 2-3 innings of work.
Jackson captured his first World Series title in 2011 as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.
