Derrick Rose Close to Return

Jared Wickerham/Getty Images(MILWAUKEE) -- Derrick Rose is growing closer to a return with the Chicago Bulls.  The former MVP is now taking "full contact" during practice, Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau announced on Wednesday.

"He can do all the cutting, he can do shooting, he can go off the dribble," Thibodeau said on Wednesday. "So it's just a matter of him getting acclimated to playing in a game situation."

The Bulls are aiming for a return by Rose after the Feb. 17 All-Star Game.

Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf has repeatedly said that Rose will not play until doctors clear him.  Rose has been sidelined since a torn ACL surgery he underwent last May.
