Drosselmeyer Wins Breeder's Cup Classic

Matthew Stockman/Getty Images(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) -- Despite being a 14-1 long shot, Drosselmeyer came out of no where to win the Breeder's Cup Classic in the closing strides over Game On Dude.

With the win, Hall Of Fame jockey Mike Smith helped win the $5 million prize. He also beat his former fiance, Chantal Sutherland, who was the jockey for Game On Dude.

"When I looked at the wire and I saw white I said, 'You've got to be kidding me. Mike Smith. Ugh," Sutherland said. "But I'm very happy for Mike. That's his 15th Breeder's Cup so he's a pretty good rider."

Sutherland wasn't kidding about Smith being a good rider. His 15 Breeder's Cup wins is tied for the most all-time with Jerry Bailey.
