Flyers Bring Simon Gagne Back To Philadelphia

Frederick Breedon/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) -- The Philadelphia Flyers acquired forward Simon Gagne from the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday for a conditional fourth-round draft pick in the 2013 NHL Entry draft.

Gagne is returning to the team that originally selected him with the 22nd overall pick in the 1998 draft. In 10 seasons with the Flyers, he scored 20 goals or more seven times, including a career-high 47 during the 2005-06 season.

“Simon is an experienced veteran who will help us in a lot of areas,” Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said.  “We are glad to have him back.”

This season, Gagne has zero goals and five assists in 11 games.
