(NEW YORK) -- Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux was arrested after an altercation with a police officer on Tuesday night, reports the Ottawa Sun.
Giroux was arrested for repeatedly grabbing the buttocks of a male police officer, the Sun reports. Alcohol is believed to have been involved.
Giroux lives in Ottawa during the offseason and Ottawa Police have refused to say anything about the incident.
Giroux scored 28 goals and had 58 assists last season for Philadelphia. The Flyers rewarded Giroux with an eight-year extension last season.
