Foles Leads Eagles Over Raiders 49-20

Rich Shultz/Getty Images(OAKLAND, Calif) --  Just one week after missing a game with a concussion, Nick Foles made NFL history.

Foles tied an NFL record with seven touchdown passes, leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a 49-20 drubbing of the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

"A couple people came up to me and said that I tied the record with seven touchdowns," Foles said after throwing for 406 yards in the win. "It's a great honor. Hats off to our guys for doing a great job."

Riley Cooper caught five passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns, helping Foles become just the seventh quarterback in NFL history to throw seven touchdown passes in a game.  Peyton Manning also tied the mark in a season-opening win over the Baltimore Ravens.

DeSean Jackson, Brent Celek, Zach Ertz, and LeSean McCoy also scored for the Eagles, (4-5) who look to keep pace with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.

Head coach Chip Kelly has refused to name Foles the permanent starting quarterback, even though he has 13 touchdown passes this season with no turnovers.

"It's gotta be based on health," Kelly said.  "We'll talk about it later on."

Terrelle Pryor threw for 288 yards and had two interceptions in the loss for the Raiders.
