Gonzalez Wins 20th, Nationals Blast Brewers 10-4

Gary Bogdon/MLB Photos via Getty Images(WASHINGTON) -- Gio Gonzalez pitched seven-innings allowing two runs, both unearned, as he became the major's first 20-game winner and helped lead the Washington Nationals (92-59) past the Milwaukee Brewers (78-73), 10-4.

"As a team, the feeling right now? We feel amazing," Gonzalez said. "This team has been unbelievable. It doesn't feel like a 20-win season for myself. It feels like a 20-win season for the team. This is a childhood dream, but at the same time, this is a team in first place, and it makes it that much better."

Gonzalez also recorded his 200th strikeout of the season, becoming the first pitcher pitcher to do that for a Washington team since Walter Johnson did it in 1916.

The Nationals' magic number to win the NL East is now down to six.
