(NEW YORK) -- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings sees that emerging receiver Cordarrelle Patterson is on the verge of becoming a star.
“I’m going to be honest: Once I saw him make a couple plays, I’m like, ‘We’ve got to get him the ball. He does too much well for us not to get him the ball,’” Jennings said.
“If I’m having success, it’s going to open up the door for success for other guys,” Jennings added. “If Cordarrelle’s having success, it’s going to open up the door for a lot of other guys, as well.”
The 30-year-old Jennings is entering his ninth NFL season, and second with the Vikings. He led the team last season with 68 catches and 804 yards.
Meanwhile, in his rookie season, Patterson caught 45 passes for 469 yards and four touchdowns. He also averaged over 32 yards per kickoff return, and had to kickoff returns for touchdowns.
