Joey Logano: 'Never Not Time for a Championship'

Chris Graythen/Getty Images for NASCAR(NEW YORK) -- Joey Logano is enjoying the start to his NASCAR Sprint Cup season.

Logano has four top-five finishes and a win at Texas Motor Speedway and sits eighth in the standings as the series is off this weekend.

When asked by ABC Sports Radio Wednesday if it's time for a Sprint Cup title, Logano, who is teaming up with Call 811, said, "You're exactly right it is. There's never not time for a championship right?"

"You've always got to shoot for it and that's our goal this year," he continued.  "I feel like we're a legit team that can go for this thing this year and win it.  I'm excited about what our chances are right now."

Logano is in his seventh year racing in the Sprint Cup series and believes he has gained a lot of experience racing under Team Penske.

"We've been working really hard here at Team Penske this year," Logano said.  "There's a lot of rule changes and whenever that happens we look at that as an opportunity to really take advantage of and figure things out before anybody else, so we've been testing a lot."

Logano finished third last April at Richmond International Raceway.
