Jonas Gray Oversleeps, Sent Home By Team

Jim Rogash/Getty Images(FOXBORO, Ma) -- Coming off of a 200-yard rushing performance against the Indianapolis Colts, Patriots running back Jonas Gray could do no wrong.

Friday, Gray was served a piece of head coach Bill Belichick's famous humble pie as he was sent home from practice after he arrived at the facility late.

Gray claims he overslept after his phone died; which he uses as an alarm clock. Gray reportedly went back to the facility to apologize to his teammates and coach Belichick.

Gray is not the first Patriots player to receive this type of treatment for being late.  Players of the past including Randy Moss and Adalius Thomas were also sent home.  Earlier this season cornerback Darrelle Revis was sent home for arriving late. Revis played later that week against the Bears.
