Kaepernick, Lewis Ready To Clash In New Orleans

Harry How/Getty Images(NEW ORLEANS) --  One star's legacy is ending, the other's is just beginning, but Colin Kaepernick and Ray Lewis are not so different after all.

Both are on opposite paths in their careers but nonetheless are leaders of their respective teams with one common goal, winning Super Bowl X:VII.

Kaepernick is in his first season as a starter, coming in for Alex Smith midseason.  To be the starting quarterback of a Super Bowl-bound team at such a young age is an incredible accomplishment, but at the same time he knows all that Lewis has done for the game of football.

"I'm a big fan of Ray Lewis," Kaepernick said.  "The intensity he plays the game with, the passion he plays with.  It's something that I think every football player likes."

Lewis is playing in his 17th and final season in the NFL.  He hopes to ride off into the sunset a two-time Super Bowl champion, and he is counting on his teammates to get him there.
