Kansas City Chiefs Select OT Eric Fisher with No. 1 Pick

Al Bello/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The Kansas City Chiefs selected Central Michigan left tackle Eric Fisher with the first overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft on Thursday night.

Fisher is projected to go right into the Chiefs' starting offensive line.

"I can't even process what's happening right now," an elated Fisher told ESPN after being drafted.  "This is a dream come true.  The fact that I was the number-one pick, I can't understand what's going on right now."

The Chiefs are beginning a new era after hiring head coach Andy Reid, who spent 14 seasons in Philadelphia and will have a new quarterback in Alex Smith. The Chiefs traded for Smith during the offseason.

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected offensive tackle Luke Joeckel out of Texas A&M with the second overall pick.  The Oakland Raiders traded their third pick to the Miami Dolphins, who selected Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan.
