Lance Briggs Cleared to Play Sunday

Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images(CHICAGO) -- Chicago's Lance Briggs was medically cleared to play in Sunday's game against Philadelphia. The Bears linebacker had missed the last eight weeks recovering from a fractured shoulder suffered on Oct. 20 at Washington.

Though Briggs is eligible to compete against the Eagles, it is unsure as to how much he will be on the field. Friday was the first time that Briggs competed in practice fully after working in a limited capacity on both Wednesday and Thursday.

"We'll list him as questionable up until game time," said Chicago head coach Marc Trestman. "He'll work out before the game, and we'll see where he's at."

The Bears (8-6) can clinch the NFC North championship with a win as well as losses by both Green Bay and Detroit. Briggs will provide an added boost the leagues worst rushing defense as they get set to take on the NFL's leading rusher in LeSean McCoy.
