Lightning Trade Kubina to Flyers

A.J. Messier/NHLI via Getty Images(TAMPA BAY) --  The Tampa Bay Lightning traded defenseman Pavel Kubina to the Philadelphia Flyers Saturday.

In exchange, the Lightning received a conditional second-round draft pick for either 2012 or 2013, a 2013 fourth-round pick and minor league winger Jon Kalinski.

This deal was immanent. On Thursday, Tampa Bay General Manager Steve Yzerman declared he was going to trade the 34-year old and would hold him out of the lineup until the trade was complete.

Through 52 games this season, Kubina has three goals and 8 assists. He is set to be an unrestricted free agent July 1st.
