Lions' Suh Will Discuss Rules with NFL

NFL via Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Usually when a player meets with NFL officials and Commissioner Roger Goodell, he did something he likely wasn't supposed to -- almost like getting sent to the principal's office. However, Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh himself has requested a sit-down with Goodell and other NFL officials on Tuesday.

Suh apparently requested the meeting because he wants a better understanding on the NFL's rules on the defensive side of the ball. Suh has come under fire since during his young career for being a overly physical player -- has been labeled as dirty by some around the NFL, and has been fined multiple times for his ferocious playing style and sometimes brutal hits. He hopes to alleviate any concerns during the meeting.

"To me," Suh said, "It's just an opportunity to go out there and have good diolague and see what I can take from that meeting. If it's nothing, then it's nothing. If it's something good, it's something good."

Suh is the defensive anchor for the 6-2 Lions and one of the faces of the franchise. This season, the 24-year-old Suh has 24 tackles and three sacks.
