(RECIFE, Brazil) -- Mexico scored three goals in ten minutes of the second half to top Croatia 3-1 and advance to the Round of 16 at the World Cup.
Mexico secures the two-seed in Group A and will now take on the Netherlands Sunday in Fortaleza.
The score was tied nil-nil going into the second half, but Mexico erupted starting in the 72nd minute when Rafael Marquez sent a header past Croatian goalie Stipe Pletikosa.
Just three minutes later, Mexico scored again, when Andres Guardado smashed a left-footed one-timer from 12 yards out into the back of the net.
The Mexicans finished their scoring barrage seven minutes later when Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez headed in a shot that deflected off teammate Marquez's head.
