Netherlands Advances with Top Spot in Group B

iStock/Thinkstock(SAO PAULO) -- Netherlands has advanced in Group B of the World Cup after their 2-0 win over Chile on Monday.

Substitutes Leroy Fer and Memphis Depay scored late to give Netherlands the points needed to secure the top spot in the group.

Fer scored on a header from Darryl Janmaat's cross in the 77th minute, and two minutes later Depay scored his second goal in two matches to put away Chile.

Netherlands only needed a draw to secure a spot in the next round.

Chile was coming into the game fresh after knocking out the defending World Cup champion Spain.
