New York Jets Bolster Offensive & Defensive Lines

NFL(FLORHAM PARK, N.J.) -- The New York Jets signed offensive tackle Corey Hilliard and defensive end Stephen Bowen on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hillard was originally selected by the New England Patriots out of Oklahoma State in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL draft. The 29-year-old has spent the past six seasons with the Detroit Lions. He missed 15 games last year after suffering a season-ending foot injury in Week 1 against the New York Giants.

Bowen signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Hofstra in 2006. In 168 regular-season games with the Cowboys and Washington Redskins, the 30-year-old has recorded 168 tackles and 12 1/2 sacks.
