NFL Week 8 Preview: San Diego (4-2) @ Kansas City (3-3)

Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) -- The Kansas City Chiefs (3-3) play host to the San Diego Chargers (4-2) Monday night in week eight of NFL action.

The Chargers offense comes into the contest ranked eighth overall in the league, despite the subpar play of three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Philip Rivers.

"They do a very good job of running the football. I don't think that there is a big, big difference between the two teams," Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said. "What Philip does is he utilizes backs very well and the passing game which I think really essentially becomes another run play."

The last time these two AFC West division rivals met was back in Week 3, a 20-17 victory by San Diego.

"We got what they want. That's first place in the division, right now. So it's a great week to be a Charger," San Diego linebacker Takeo Spikes said.

The Chiefs are looking to win four straight games--a first since 2004.
