Novak Djokovic Wins the Wimbledon Title

LEON NEAL/AFB/Getty Images(LONDON) -- In what could go down as an instant classic, Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer in five sets to take home his second Wimbledon Title.

This is the seventh Grand Slam title for the 27-year-old Djokovic. Evertime Djokovic seemed to go on a roll, Federer would storm right back to keep the pressure square of Djokovic's shoulders.

"I was hoping that Roger was going to miss the first serve, but that didn't happen," Djokovic said. "It rarely happens. That's why he has 17 Grand Slams and he's been the most successful player ever, because in important moments, he comes up with his best shots and top game."

Even though Federer was disappointed with the loss, he was gracious and paid his respect to Djokovic.

"You know going into a match with Novak, it's always going to be tough," Federer said. "It had everything for fans to like, the swing of momentum in the first set, him coming back in the second and third, all the back and forth in the fourth set and all the dramas in the fifth."

With the win, Djokovic regains his number one ranking.
