(DENVER) -- Andre Iguodala will have a fresh start to his NBA career in the Mile High City of Denver. Iguodala was introduced to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday after coming over in a four-team trade last week from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Iguodala is under contract for this season with a player option for 2013-14 but sees Denver as his home -- hopefully for a long time.
"We weren't coming into this thinking this will be a one-year deal," Iguodala said during his introductory press conference on Thursday. "... This is definitely a place that I can see myself for more than just a year or two."
Iguodala spoke with former Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony during this year's London Games about his new head coach George Karl and how he will fit in their offense.
"You just run fast, it's pretty simple," Iguodala said. "Especially with the two point guards we have in Ty (Lawson) and Andre Miller. The pass ahead is really what gets it going."
Iguodala averaged 12.4 points per game and 5.5 assists a game last year while in Philadelphia.
