N.Y. Knicks Name Steve Mills New President And General Manager

Brian A. Westerholt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The New York Knicks named Steve Mills their new president and general manager on Thursday, replacing Glen Grunwald, who will remain with the team as an advisor.

The move marks a reunion between Mills and Knicks owner James Dolan. From 1999 until 2009, Mills worked for Madison Square Garden as an executive. In 2003, he hired Isiah Thomas as president of the Knicks.

“We look forward to his leadership and believe he is the right person to help us reach our ultimate goal of winning an NBA Championship,” Dolan said in a statement.

Before joining MSG, Mills worked for the NBA serving in a number of positions, including senior vice president of basketball and player development.
