Boston Celtics/NBA(BOSTON) -- Paul Pierce is etching his name into the Boston Celtics' history book. On Tuesday, he passed Larry Bird for second on the Celtics' all-time scoring list during the Celtics victory over the Charlotte Bobcats 94-84.

After the game, when Pierce was asked about how he felt passing Larry Bird he said, "That's incredible...In my mind one of the top five players that ever played the game. I'm not going to sit here and say that I'm anywhere near his accomplishments. Just to be mentioned with this organization is a great honor."
