Peyton Manning Still Enjoys Playing on Monday Night

Justin Edmonds/Getty Images(DENVER) -- Peyton Manning will be without Pro Bowler Ryan Clady for the remainder of the season and will get his first test against the Raiders defense on Monday night.

The Broncos come into the game 2-0 and Manning has already thrown nine touchdowns this season.  Clady protected Manning's blindside, but now Chris Clark will get the call at left tackle.

"Stepping up into a role like this, it's not going to be hard for me to adjust," Clark said. "It's not about filling a guy's shoes for me. It's about me creating my legacy, just helping the team the best way I can and doing my job."

The Raiders defensive line is tied for the NFL lead with nine sacks.

"It's a great history to it, it's a great tradition," Manning said of playing on Monday night.  "You're playing a division opponent at home, it's the only game being played.  It's still a big deal.  I know both teams will be pumped and our crowd will be rocking."

The Raiders have yet to get running back Darren McFadden going and quarterback Terrelle Pryor will face a tough Broncos defense that has allowed a league-low 81 rushing yards.

"I don't want to get too excited about a stage or anything like that because at the end of the day I still have to drop back and I have to help this team win" Pryor said.  "I know it's a big task versus one of the greatest quarterbacks, he’s a Hall of Famer."
