Phillies' Pitcher Roy Halladay to Make Return On Tuesday

Hunter Martin/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) -- The Philadelphia Phillies may have fallen on hard times as of late, but the team received some good news the other day. Starting pitcher Roy Halladay will come off the disabled list and start on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Halladay has been on the disabled list since May 28 with a strained lat muscle behind his right shoulder. He had been experiencing shoulder discomfort for most of the season but through a strength and conditioning program, he feels ready to return to the mound.

"I feel comfortable that he's ready," Phillies pitching coach Rich Dubee told CSNPhilly.com's Jim Salisbury.

Its been a rough season for the 35-year old Halladay. In 11 starts this season, Halladay is just 4-5 with a 3.98 ERA. He hasn't has a season with an ERA that high since 2004 when he was a member of the Toronto Blue Jays.
