Randy Moss Says He's Greatest Receiver of All-Time

"Now that I'm older, I do think I'm the greatest receiver to ever do it," Moss said at Super Bowl media day. "I don't really live on numbers. I really live on impact and what you're able to do out on the field. I really think I'm the greatest receiver to ever play this game."

Even though he says he doesn't live on numbers, Moss has the numbers that at least put him in the conversation as one of the greatest of all-time. He has the single-season record for touchdowns caught (23) and has the third most receiving yards and second most touchdowns caught in NFL history.

The only problem for Moss is Hall of Famer Jerry Rice. Rice is the all-time leader with 1,549 receptions, 22,895 yards and 197 touchdown receptions. Moss isn't even close to breaking any of those records, which may have prompted Rice to respond to Moss' comments.

"I impacted the game by winning Super Bowls," Rice said. "Randy is still trying to win his first one, and I wish him the best, but I was very surprised that he said he's the best receiver to ever play the game. I leave that up to my fans to make that statement."

The 35-year-old Moss had 28 catches for 434 yards and three touchdowns for the Niners this regular season.
