Ray Lewis Has Team Focused on Super Bowl

Rob Carr/Getty Images(BALTIMORE) -- The Baltimore Ravens have begun their preparation to battle the San Francisco 49ers in next Sunday's Super Bowl.

The Ravens will be looking to bring home their second Super Bowl championship in franchise history, their first came in 2000, after a stifling defense shut down the New York Giants.

Linebacker Ray Lewis was a member of that team and made sure that the Lombardi trophy was removed from the team facility on Wednesday to make sure he team was focused on winning another.

"Don't ever take pictures with nothing that's not yours," said Lewis.  "When we hold that Lombardi, whoever hold that Lombardi next Sunday, you've earned it when you touch it."

Lewis will be retiring win or lose in New Orleans after 17 seasons in the league, but says it hasn't hit him yet.

"It's going to be a great day period, no matter what happens," said the 13-time Pro Bowler.  "That's kind of the way I've approached it."

Lewis said he hopes that quarterback Joe Flacco can take the reigns next season in his role as the team leader.
