Redskins' LB Orakpo, DE Carriker Out For The Year

NFL/Washington Redskins(ASHBURN, Va.) -- The Washington Redskins (1-1) announced on Monday that they will be without outside linebacker Brian Orakpo and defensive end Adam Carriker for the remainder of the season due to injury.

The 26-year-old Orakpo tore the pectoral muscle near his left shoulder, and the 28-year-old Carriker tore the quad tendon in his right knee. Both injuries occurred during Sunday’s 31-28 loss to the St. Louis Rams.

In two games this season, Orakpo had five tackles and one forced fumble while Carriker had one tackle.
